WBCWEB had a spy at
Malvern who witnessed a rare event in any form of baseball when
left-handed pitchers 'Crafty' Con Papanicolaou and Heath
'Heater' Wright combined with catcher Miles Henson to pitch a
NO-HITTER in Waverley's 13-0 shutout win at Malvern.
The two lefties were
assisted by some splendid defence, especially from outfielders
Mark Flintoff and Andrew Van Iersel, who made sure that some
hard-hit balls did not break the "NO NO" before the mercy rule
was applied after seven innings.
